Croydon Universtity Hospital A&E
The Accident and Emergency department at Croydon University Hospital (formerly Mayday Hospital) should not be used by patients for minor ailments such as sprains or strains or coughs, colds or temperatures, expecially during the routine surgery times.
You should always ring the surgery during normal opening hours to get a GP appointment, or if there isn't one available, an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner, who is able to examine, diagnose, treat and prescribe if necessary. Once here, she would pass you into the care of a GP if that was appropriate at the time.
A & E stands for Accident & EMERGENCY...Please help us to help you by not abusing or misusing the A & E department.
