Get in Touch via accuRx
For non-urgent medical or administrative requests, you can now reach us quickly and easily through our online contact system. Please click the accuRx button below to submit a new request.
What is accuRx & why we’re making this change:
-
You can request help for medical or administrative needs at any time, using your phone or computer.
-
Your request goes straight to our clinical team and will be prioritized based on what you need, not on call order.
-
If you can’t access the form online or don’t use digital devices, our reception team can help by completing the form with you over the phone.
We believe this change will improve access and ensure you are directed to the right person at the right time.
To help with the transition, we also encourage patients to download and create an account on the NHS App, which makes it easier to order prescriptions, view your appointment times and check medical information.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I submit a request using Patient Triage?
A: Click the accuRx link or logo on our website, complete the online form with your details and what you need, and submit it. It only takes a few minutes and can be used for both medical and administrative queries.
Q: Do I need an app or account to use accuRx?
A: No. accuRx is fully web-based. There is no app to download and no account to create—just submit your request directly through our website.
Q: When can I submit a request?
A: You can submit non-urgent requests Monday to Friday, allowing you to contact us at a time that suits you, without waiting for the phone lines to open.
Q: What if I can’t access the form online or need help using it?
A: If you’re unable to use the online form, please call our reception team. We can complete the form for you over the phone to ensure you still receive the support you need.
Q: Will my request go directly to a doctor?
A: Yes. Every request is reviewed by our clinical team. A GP will assess your information and decide the safest and most appropriate next step based on your clinical needs.
Q: Is accuRx faster than calling the practice?
A: Yes. The online form is quick to complete, and you won’t need to wait on hold. Your request is submitted directly into our system for review.
Q: Is the system fair for patients who need appointments?
A: Yes. accuRx allows us to triage requests based on clinical need, ensuring those who require care most urgently are prioritised—rather than those who simply get through on the phones first.
Q: How long will it take to get a response?
A: We aim to respond within 48 hours of receiving your request. In many cases, we will get back to you sooner.
Q: When does this change take effect, and what happens to the AskFirst App?
A: The change begins on 4 December 2025. From that date, the AskFirst App (Sensely) will no longer be used. All patient requests must be submitted via accuRx Patient Triage.
Q: What should I do if I have an emergency?
A: For emergencies, please call 999 or attend A&E immediately.
Q: Where can I find more information about accuRx or Patient Triage?
